VMV Hypoallergenics, who I have a soft
spot for because they are a homegrown brand and their Armada range of
sunscreens is really good, recently released a new product… a blush. And, given
it’s made by VMV, it’s as close to
skincare as a blush can get. They said it’s so good for you, it’s hard to
believe it’s makeup!
Boldly Glow Coconut Oil Skin Bloom Blush
Stick comes in 9 shades, and although they are all marketed as “blush”,
some colors are evidently highlighters and bronzers. Rich in organic virgin coconut oil and is 100%
“skinnocent” of parabens, preservatives, phthalates, fragrances, and
allergens all while being incased in sustainably-sourced Filipino Mother of Pearl packaging – super pretty and luxurious,

as the love name suggests, the Boldly Glow Coconut Oil Skin Bloom Blush Stick
is a cream product in a retractable
twist-up stick format. Application is virtually foolproof; all it takes is
a couple of swipes on each cheek, thin layers or whack it on like I did on the
video (you decide), then a little blending with a sponge, brush or even your
shade I got, Rosebud, is a vibrant
pop of fuchsia pink. It’s soft and creamy, and glides onto the skin
effortlessly and blends out gorgeously. It should. I am really liking the
formula because the blush is practically what I want a blush to be, pigmented
but if you apply too much, you can easily blend away, apply too little and you
can always layer it up. It should. It’s not sticky or shiny
like other cream blushes, and doesn’t mess up with dry patches I have here and
there, so it works for all skin types. It should. In terms of lasting
power, it stays vibrant for like 6 hours on my combination skin, but the stain
lingers until I remove my makeup. It should.
What’s with all the it-shoulds?
Well, the Boldly Glow Coconut Oil Skin Bloom Blush Stick is Php2,000. I know,
girl! So it must be, it should be really good, right? Good thing it is!
the colors beautiful? Rosebud is third from top. Overall, I have been using it
since the launch (mid-September) and it’s becoming a staple. I do like cream
blushes anyway, but VMV did something really special to this. I also quite like
having a fuss-free blush in a stick form on the ready, which is great for girls
on the go like me who’s always rushing in the morning. “My Uber is 1 minute away!” LOL I want more shades, and yes, I
would recommend this!
